National Eligibility and Entrance Test Exam 2013

National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) is an all India entrance exam for students who would like to pursue MBBS, MD or MS. This exam is organized by Medical Council of India (MCI). To get admission in any of the medical college across India it is mandatory for a candidate to qualify through NEET. This exam is valid to get admission in different courses like Super Specialty, Under Graduate and Post Graduate course as well. For this exam candidate can apply online as well as through offline mode.

Eligibility Criteria
•Candidate should have passed class 12th examination with minimum 50% aggregate grades of Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
•If a candidate belongs to reserved category 40% aggregate grades are required for eligibility.

Number of seats:
•For under graduates MBBS and BDS programs collectively there are 42,000 seats available approximately.
•For Post graduates MD and MS courses collectively 20,600 seats are available approximately.

Exam pattern

NEET Exam 2012 was a multiple choice type of paper based exam. It has total 250 questions, which are allocated subject wise. Time duration for this exam is normally remain at 3 hours.

• Physics consists of 75 marks,
• Chemistry also has 75 marks and
• Biology consists of 100 marks.

Admission are offered to candidates after National Eligibility and Entrance exams basing on this exam grades only and no other test or exams are involved for candidates. As this exam is held on national level, candidate from any state or city of India can apply for this exam and can get admission in any city or state of India. However the choice of colleges is dependent of NEET grades acquired.
