COMEDK UGET Entrance exam
Consortium of Medical, Engineering & Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) is a governing body that conducts entrance test commonly known as COMEDK UGET which stands for Consortium of Medical, Engineering & Dental Colleges of Karnataka Under Graduate Entrance Test. This test is organized for admissions into private medical & dental colleges in Karnataka. The objective of introducing this entrance test was to set up a fair admission procedure where deserving candidates are entitled right seats. There are 11 medical colleges, 25 dental colleges & 100+ engineering colleges registered as members to COMEDK.
It provides all the necessary information to a candidate pertaining to COMEDK UGET Exam 2013.
- Important Dates:
- Publication of acceptance of Application form: 10th of April 2013
- Date of examination: 6th of May 2013
- Publication of rank list: 8th of June 2013
- Completion of despatch of rank card: 18th of June 2013
- 1st round of Counselling Schedule: 21st and 22nd of July 2013
Seat surrender for Medical/ Dental:
From 6th of August till 9th of August 2013 on Monday-Thursday in between 11:30 AM-3:00 PM at NMKRV Mangala Mantapa, 3rd Block, Jayanagar, Bangalore.
Seat surrender for Engineering/ Architecture: From 16th of August till 22nd of August at the venue, date and time mentioned above.
Cut-off ranks of last year (2011):
The results of this entrance examination are accepted by the member institutions in the state of Karnataka. In the previous year (2011) the minimum cut-off rank started from 784 and it extended till 10517 for Medical stream and that cut-off limit for Dental ranged from 8406 till 10016. For engineering the cut off was from rank 984 till 40000 depending upon the choice of colleges and institutions.
In the year 2013 the cut-offs are expected to be a little stiffer offering candidates a tough choice of their preferred institutions.
